“Are You Sure You Want To Do This?”….YES!

It’s really no secret that I love using WordPress. Even more than that, I love using the Avada theme with WordPress. Avada, for me, is an absolute dream to use and with each subsequent update, it gets better and better. In fact, I’ve been a huge fan since 2013. Sure I’ve tried other themes, but none have left me more enamored. I always come crawling back to my original love, Avada.

Dramatics aside, there’s one thing about Avada that might throw you for a whirl and it’s super annoying. Depending on your hosting provider, while trying to upload Avada, you might get the infamous “Are You Sure You Want To Do This?” WordPress error. The obvious answer is “Yes”, but trying again will only replicate the result.

The question is, why do you get this error message and how do you fix it? Technically, this error is due to low PHP limits that some web host providers set, which limits the size of the zip file that you can upload. If you upload the entire Avada zip file, you’re looking at a whopping 275mb! Bluehost, for instance, limits your theme upload file size to about 20mb if I recall correctly. So no matter how hard you try, it’s never going to work.

Don’t fret, I’m here to help. I kept getting this same error and could never figure out why. I decided to put my sleuthing hat on and figure out why. After doing a bit of searching, I finally found the answer. Check out this short video and I’ll take you step-by-step through the simple process. It is a bit more technical, so take your time and be sure to follow my advice exactly.
